Perlan – Wonders of Iceland
Perlan stands as Reykjavík’s premier attraction and the largest nature museum in Iceland. It offers a comprehensive insight into Icelandic nature and the formation of this stunning island.
The wonders of Icelandic nature are brought to life through interactive displays, immersive experiences, and advanced technology, creating a captivating blend of adventure and education for visitors of all ages.
The main highlights at Perlan include an indoor Ice Cave constructed from real snow and ice, a Northern Lights show in the Planetarium, and a Lava film. You can also explore Latrabjarg Cliff—a ten-meter-high replica of one of Europe’s most important seabird cliffs, featuring lifelike bird models.
Perlan is located atop Reykjavík’s highest hill in Oskjuhlid. The structure features a grand glass dome supported by six geothermal water tanks. Four of these remain functional, while one houses the Ice Cave, and another has been transformed into a state-of-the-art planetarium.
