Riding Reykjavik for experienced riders
On this Riding Reykjavik tour, you will get the opportunity to experience the versatility of the Icelandic horse. It is a powerful horse, but at the same time a gentle horse and on this tour the more experience riders get the try out the qualities of the Icelandic horse in it´s natural surroundings. The riding tour starts and ends in our stables in Hafnarfjörður. We ride into the gorgeous Heiðmörk nature park with our specially trained guides.
Please be aware that this tour is not for beginners, it is for strong intermediate riders that are comfortable and in control of the horse at all paces. The choice of route is dependent on both season and weather and is subject to change to ensure a fun experience for everyone.
We take pride in our personal service at Ishestar stables and make sure that the limit of each group size is 20 people or less to ensure a safe and enjoyable riding tour for all of our guests. You can look forward to seeing the Icelandic horse in it ́s natural surroundings!
Riding skills: This tour is recommended for strong intermediate riders. You should be comfortable and in control at all paces, firm seat, comfortable in the saddle.
Please note that the riding time is ca 3 hours, a total of 5 hours with a transfer.
On this tour riders have a unique opportunity to see the versatility of the Icelandic horse in breathtaking nature.
