Landmannalaugar Hiking tour in the beautiful and colorful highlands of Iceland

Landmannalaugar is a favorite place among many adventure seekers and now you have the chance to visit this magnificent place on our professionally guided tour.

Landmannalaugar is a true wonderland, located in a place called Fjallabak. It is an unbelievable beautiful place and very photo genic. Landmannalaugar is often called the queen of the Icelandic highland, with all its glory her landscape is filled with colorful mountains and beautiful sighs.

In Landmannalaugar you will also find bubbling geothermal area and natural hot springs, clear blue lakes and green lava fields.

In Landmannalaugar Iceland, you can find some of the most stunning hiking trails in Iceland. One of the most famous hiking trails is called Laugarvegur trail. Your hiking tour will start from the main hut in Landmannalaugar where you will hike around this gorgeous place for about 4 hours. The total hiking distance is approximately 8-10 km. The route goes over Laugahraun lava field, through Vondugil canyon and up to Mt. Brennisteinsalda a multicolored peak that is highly characteristic of the area. On the way down you will walk down Grænagil gorge, called Green Gorge in Icelandic because of the dominant green color of rhyolite in the area. If time allows, we will summit Blahnukur Volcano before soaking in the hot pool in Landmannalaugar and take in the spectacular surroundings of this phenomenal place! Remember to bring bathing suit and a towel with you on this hiking tour in Iceland.

The tour is offered either as a meet on location from Landmannalaugar or with a Reykjavik pick-up. If you choose to drive to Landmannalaugar and meet us at the meeting point, be sure you drive a 4x4 vehicle.
